Miller's Tips for the Searching the Web

There's so much to learn on the Internet! But the Internet's a pretty disorganized place. Here are some tips for using the "Net" without wasting a lot of time and money:

·         Plan your "Net" session.  Set goals and stick to them.

·         Use specific search phrases; the more specific your topic, the narrower your search will be.

·         Use the meta search engines such as dogpile.com or google.com for more extensive searches.

·         Keep on track: Don't waste time browsing information you don't need.

·         Make use of your Bookmarks or Favorites.

·         Cite information you use using the proper MLA or APA style.
